triumphant59
Starting pigeon shooting again, and need to re-equip. Looked on ebay and the 2 kits below seem good value from a1decoy_uk. What does anyone think to these kits or recommend as an alternative? PRO PIGEON MAGNET ROTARY MACHINE cw AIR PRO DECOYS & 7AH BATTERY PACKAGE KIT @ £69.99 Pigeon Shooting Starter Pack Kit Bag Net Hide Poles Decoy Decoying Set Camo A1 @ £69.99 Edited September 7, 2013 by triumphant59
sitsinhedges
I would contact AA Decoys and see what they can do for you but either way I would avoid air pros they're not reckoned to be very good.
Cranfield
I would look at sourcing the items separately, you will get a better quality and might get a better price. I second the "avoid air pros" comment.
-Mongrel-
A1 decoys as a company I've found fine to deal with...but UKshootwarehouse better and IMO their gear is better quality.
00buck
the air pros the other week were better that the magnet whell for me i think the fuds are not the best and don't work for me but shells do
ljaddy12
I second look at sourcing separate if you can ul prob buy kits and then buy more stuff on top old forces bergan and a fishing rod quiver to carry it all
Old Timer
I need to get rid of some gear I have over 200 decoys, so if you want 30 flock shells free all you got to do is pick them up. I'm near Stamford lincs. I also have 30 pro decoys to sell £2.50 each
oowee
I had the kit bag it lasted just 5 weeks (I shoot 3 to 4 times a week). Its made of some very poor quality material which wears jut loading it in the car boot. The magnet spike went through the bottom the second day out (even with the spike cover on). Far better to get a ex army bag of some sort. This is the one i have now it wont wear outhttp://endicotts.co.uk/component/virtuemart/rucksacks-packs-kit-bags-92. I dont like the FUD decoys as they are Static, heavy, hard to push into solid ground, require assembly each time, pick up a lot of soilwhich ends up with your kit, generaly cumbersome to use. Shells are good but full body is probably better if you have the space. I am still trying to make my mind up about a seat. I have a Deben swivel tripod. The feet have been replaced after three months. Its light and ok to sit on but a little too low and the leg adjusters could be easier. paddymax123
the kits I have looked at don't look that great all you really would need to decoy is a dozen shell decoys that you can pick up at most game fairs for around £20, some ex mod netting a seat that's is about £15, a seat £3 from go outdoors that should set you on the path for a good day on the pigeons
