saddler
http://www.deben.com/hawke-nite-eye-digital-riflescopes/nite-eye-digital-4-16x50-10x-mil-dot.html Illuminated reticle perhaps? No idea, not a make I have ever looked at. Good to see someone do their research before spending money on a product

fruity
It's for the IR , mines takes a lithium CR2032 if that's any help , bit still double check but most take those I think
dadioles
As fruity said CR2032, it powers the illuminated dot in the centre of the reticule. Red or green at different levels of brightness depending on which way you turn the knob on top. It does not switch off automatically, you have to do that yourself, that is probably why it is flat. I don't bother to use mine, some will like it but I think its a bit of a gimmick but take the old battery out before it risks leaking. la bala
same battery in mine. my colours are red and bright blue, the latter being ideal when shooting into a shaded area.

Dekers
Are they different on different models, I doubt it but you need to check. http://www.uttings.co.uk/Product/543/107150/hawke-nite-eye-4-16x50-digi-ir-sf-rifle-scope/ This is clearly a CR2032. A CR2032 is s Lithium Manganese coin cell, when they die they die but they don't leak, used 100,000s in my job before retirement, so no worries if you leave it in. (Unless you have tried to warm it up to restore some kind of voltage, melts the seals & lithium is not nice). Edit = add qualifier.
