Catamong
I've checked with the ground and they will be holding a 100 bird shoot on Sunday 21 Jan. It will be squadded in squads of 5 or 6, no need to pre-book, just turn up and book in at 9.30am. They couldn't tell me the cost, but it's likely to be about £32 for a competition entry, birds only should be a bit less. You should be a CPSA member, but non-members can buy a day pass, I think it's a couple of quid..?? The ground is at the end of Joyce Green Lane, Dartford Kent, DA1 5PN, it's about 5 minutes from the south side of the Dartford Tunnel. Any other PW members interested, hopefully we can raise a full squad..?? Cat.

Catamong
Yep I'm in. Do I need to join the CPSA if it's registered and wot not. Mungler, As I said above, you can get a day member ticket at the ground. Obviously if you want to shoot competitions regularly it pays to become a member. Cat. I'd be up for it, would love to try a registered sporting layout.. Unlike re-entry club shoots, you can only shoot it once. That places a premium on working out exactly what that clay is doing before you call "Pull" and formulating a game plan for every pair of targets. It's great fun, when you hit 'em..!! Cat. Catamong
Can you use a P/A in a CPSA comp Catamong? LB LB, Yes you can, although it's not recommended if you are serious about getting a decent score, as unless you are a real expert, your rate of cycle will be too slow for most pairs of targets, and you'll be a contender for the wooden spoon. My advice would be to bring an O/U or a semi auto. Cat.

Catamong
Yes, I've now arranged good weather for the day, so leave your well worn oilskins & souwesters at home. I'm planning on getting there by 9.30, it should be a good day, I've not shot Sporting at that ground for about 10 years.. Here is a link to the Ground's website: http://www.dartfordcsc.com/index.php?optio...ge&Itemid=1 Directions to the ground are shown on their website but are not clear, you might like to do a search on Streetmap under the postcode DA1 5PN. Turn into Joyce Green Lane and just keep on driving till you think you must have gone too far, and the ground is on the right. A reminder for all those non CPSA members who are attending, ear protection & glasses are mandatory, maximum 28 gram loads. See you all on Sunday..!! Cat.
