mark a
hi all I've got the real pox of my hatsan, the bloody thing keeps jamming and its a real pain. its cleaned every time its used and I use clear pigeon 32 6's. The first shot is ok as its already in the chamber, go for the second and nothing its bloody stuck. Spend the next 5 mins trying to free the stuck cart. I always clean the gas ports and make sure they are clear. I bought this gun just for pigeon and general rough shooting, but now when I go out I open the cabinet and think twice about taking the escort. Any of you escort owners had this problem? if so how did you get round this?. mark
stubby
what length carts are you using, mine would be ok on anything over 67mm, but carts that were 65mm would jam every time, and I never cleaned mine that much, once in a blue moon springs to mind Edited September 22, 2013 by stubby
mr smith
Is the piston free to move fully,i had a non cycling problem with my franchi.Gas ports were free but due to carbon build up the piston couldn't go all the way forward and was not getting the full effect of gas. subsonicnat
Another Cartridge problem, by the sound of it, change cartridges, then come back.
Alanl50
The cartridges your using should be fine Gamebore Clear Pigeon are 70mm long, check gas ports as said before and O ring is fine and in the right position.
samboy
I had the same trouble with jamming even with 50g carts so i chopped it in for a Beretta Outlander. Best thing i ever done.
parapilot
Mine does not Like the clear pigeon either for some reason. Everything else even down to 21g 24g is fine and no issues. Just these clear pigeon for some strange reason. They are long enough and enough load just can't put a finger on it. Change carts and it should improve Edited September 23, 2013 by parapilot

Change carts and it should improve when I first got mine it was fine on a few shots but went clay shooting and it started jamming after about 30 carts through it, couldn't understand why until I realised that the fore-end was moving about a maximum of about 1/4 of an inch towards the end of the barrel when fired, took it back to the shop and on inspection the spacer inside the fore-end where the screw cap is located was the wrong one, it was too short and was letting it go forward too much even when letting the cocking handle go as if loading . they changed it with one out of another gun by removing a spring clip, replacing it with a longer one ( the correct length) which shows the quality control's a bit suspect but it's been great ever since and I love it . although in my previous post it doesn't cycle very good on any carts below 70mm Edited September 23, 2013 by rayhallam
OvEr_KiLL
could be the extractor is worn, the little metal catch thing that pulls the cartridge back, thats what happened with mine but i did buy it used condition! or as said could be the cartridge, try not to use anything less than 67mm but generally stick to 70mm hope this helps Edited September 23, 2013 by OvEr_KiLL
Churchill
If you're using 32g clear pigeon carts and they are failing to extract then the carts are not going to be the problem. Take a look at the extractor, it sounds like its worn.
mark a
hi all I have used 67mm carts and they also jammed. what seems to happen is the cart gets stuck at a angle,by that I mean the end of the cart doesn't find the entrance to the barrel and catches and is now stuck. its hard to explain and I have probably made no sense what so ever. mark a
stubby
if you bought from a shop, take it back
