kent
and someone standing on the foreshore dressed head to toe in camo holding a pump action waiting for first flight wouldnt attract attention? Just saying...have you read the guidance to AR officers on recognising legitimate shooters? as its covered
kent
there you go again, stigmatising with broad brush.... who said anything about being dressed in a balaclava, DPM and combat boots?! you're exaggerating the extreme to weight your argument.... poor show. So a tweed wearing yar yar with an AR... would be fine? It makes the point on expectations. People assume and judge on the first 12 things they see or hear (that is just fact you wont change it) . if you carry an assault rifle to shoot rabbits expect to be judged coz its going to happen no matter what you do and no matter if its legal and legit. kyska
I bet I could walk around the fields carrying a belt fed machine gun and no one would raise an eyebrow around here. Some of you guys are worse than the general public at gun stigmatising, going by your logic to the average person your traditional style rifle with scope that you so proudly carry is indeed a sniper rifle... they have no idea between the different style of traditional or a more modern styled rifle and or dont care. As we move forward more modern designs will become more widely used, especially as the closed minded stuck in the dark ages traditionalists die out. Anyone still use a musket? Ridiculous, you know very well what people mean. It's obvious, but it's not stopping you from doing it, you just carry on.

russian sniper
Sabre Defence M4 with 10 shot colt mag - .223 straight pull rifle - as the barrel was only 14" long i used to reload using a "fast" powder to accomodate the barrel length. Its the only rifle i have used for foxes where i have had 3 foxes straight after 1 another in under a minute Not everbodys cup of tea but a fantastic rifle! I've replaced that with a REM700 PSS .223 but find i use my Blaser R93 .243 for foxing now

lincs1963
I have a HK416. Great fun on the range and accurate enough for hunting if you wanted to.
Scully
I have a HK416. Great fun on the range and accurate enough for hunting if you wanted to. What a cracking bunny lamping from a vehicle rifle that would be! Shooting from a landy is one of the main reasons I had my CZ shortened.
