norfolk dumpling
Windier yesterday (in Norfolk) when out shooting. Had to take my hat off (or lose it) and strong winds made my specs vibrate - very strange sensation. Only a strong breeze here but suggestion is it may either miss us or blow its self out before it hits the easy. '87 one didn't so keeping fingers crossed. Chris Bb
30 knots gusting 40 in south Hampshire. Increasing all the time. Just praying that strong wind with heavy rain doesn't kill the combi boiler. Again!

sidelockshooter
Here in Hertfordshire/Essex, it's a bit blustery, I did 'Man Up' and take the old Vespa for a ride out on the old Sunday morning breakfast run, almost got a wobbly on when a angry wasp decided to get in my crash helmet at 55mph....( yes, my hairdryer can do such speeds!) Scooter is away, pheasants seem o.k in the keepers pen's on the farm where I live, not liking the look of some of these Poplar trees along the headland, what with it being so wet too...I know one thing, might get on a flight line this afternoon after some Pigeon out the back here, should be some nice hard fast birds out there! Dekers
I'm not following it, the media has been full of it and warnings down south of 80mph winds, but I have just checked detailed forecast for the next 48 hours and a max wind strength of 27 is predicted for 06.00 Mon morning. I'm not complaining!
wymberley
The way they're talking, the Channel Islands could well end up re-attached to France.
welsh1
In Pembroke at the moment, strong wind occasional rain, no more than we would normally get in our location.
sidelockshooter
Pretty intense here just past 6.30 a.m this morning, a black poplar lost three big limbs on the farm track that is part of our driveway, blocking this country lane for a few hrs whilst me my dad & the Stihl worked up a sweat! Lost one of my favourite roost shooting trees in one of the woods here, also numerous trees down around the farm, gates blocked etc, what a day! How did everyone else fair?, hopefully no one hurt! Sawbridgeworth & High Wych still without power, o.k here thankfully! Be safe folks (pretty sure thats the end of it!)
-Mongrel-
Yeah was windy as anything, a few trees down and a couple of the more remote villages are without power...but generally thoroughly undramatic!
