lewis11
Hi all, I currently have a mossberg maverick 88 20g hushpower, but I'm now looking for a semi-autohushpower. My question is, can you buy them? Please post links or names of the guns thanks in advance
NitroJoe
I saw a nice looking 20G semi auto on Gunstar a little while back, it had both standard and hushpower barrels. I believe it was a Webley & Scott, £500-600 if memory serves me. It's not on there anymore, otherwise I would have bought it

walt1980
Stuart clays traps in Woodbridge have got a 12g mossberg with standard barrel and slip to take gun and spare barrel in there. Think its £500 and nearly brand new!
littlerob
http://www.micksguns.com/semi-auto%20&%20pump%20action%20shotguns.htm Winchester Model 1400 * Winchester Model 1400 12 gauge 3-shot semi auto, with a 30" barrel fitted with a Hushpower moderator, overall length is 52", good condition and works well, only £450-00 *
Cranfield
I was told by Saddlery & Gunrooms, who do the Hushpower conversions, that the reason most multi shot Hushpowers are based on pump action autos, is because noise escapes from the breech of semi autos when they are fired. I had the 20ga Hushpower Mossberg pump and traded it for a 20ga Hushpower o/u and that is certainly the quieter of the two.
timmy1146
Saw a hushpowered benelli m2 on gun trader not too long ago
BigEd85
I have just written an article on the saddlery and gunroom for GunMart, any questions on hushpowers then ring them and ask for Jonathan. They can actually convert most guns to hushpower so if you have a gun you wish to sacrifice...... The semi will be louder than the single shots and pump actions for the reason Cranfeld mentions. I intend to get one made and test it at some point Ed
theshootist
S&G told me that they could not gurantee that any hushpowered semi-auto would cycle subsonic shells, so you are left pushing normal shells through your moderator, which defeats the object in 20g and 12g. Has anyone seen a 12g hushpower semi cycling sub-sonics?
BigEd85
I would still say that there is a place for it in the armoury even when using normal cartridges as there is still a healthy noise reduction. At the end of the day its still about managing expectations. Think I may try some subsonics in my Beretta AL391, get that question answered. tiny tim
my friend shoots a beneli 20g semi auto with hushpower barrel...it wont cycle subsonics ,its cartridge fussy but shoots well and is quiet. I have the hushpower o/u ...its slightly louder than that
