Gnome of the Woods
Anybody use Gumtree on a regular basis? I have a few bits I need to sell and keep hearing the adds. A good place to use?

westmids1987
Sold quite a few thigs recently, all collected from my address so no trips to post office and no paypal charges so more cash in my pocket!only slight problem is that its based around the collect&cash local model of selling so your limited to who you can sell to but depends on what your selling
88b
Tried it a few times seems I at tracked chancer's who text to say they've bought it for half the advertised price, both times I gave them a false address and added their phone number to blocked
humperdingle
Always respond through Gumtree mail... Some scammers seem to just ask for email addresses. Otherwise, it's good for local stuff. But I wouldn't sell or buy by post on it.
Gunnerbob
Sold a bike on there recently....no probs at all...
junctiontwo
Used it loads and my only issue is the endless muppets who seem to just want someone to write to, thus: "Is it still 4 sale?" "Av u stil got dis?" "Wot will u tak 4 it?" etc etc etc. My favourite was recently when I advertised in the 'Wanted' section for a gardener. Mr Thicko replied: "How much do you charge?". I took it upon myself to explain that indeed, it is HE that charges ME. Apart from these irritating numbnut kids, it's fine.
pegasus bridge
I sold an old mobile on there, it was like a magnet for foreign half wits who had assumed my intellect was a similar level to theirs. Having said that I did get a good local buyer in the end, just had to wade through the Morons.
