grahamch
Any ideas how l can stop actions and stocks being scratched while in the cabinet? I use a breakdown cabinet to store 3 guns at present and dings and scratches could be a problem. Dont have space for a full length cabinet. Some sort of cover for each stock/action would be the solution but where to get them and what should they be made of? kennym
It's a bit anal but an old bath towel between each pice in a zig zag fold would do it
steve_b_wales
This is the type you want, although you can get them a lot cheaper than this. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Remington-Silicone-Treated-Gun-Sock-52-Rifle-Shotgun-Shooting-Oil-Air-Bag-Slip-/160902726917?pt=UK_SportingGoods_Hunting_ShootingSports_ET&hash=item25768cc505 I have lined my cabinets with as much polystyrene as possible. It helps reduce any bumps and dents in my firearms.
John_R
I have a couple of "Sackups" which work well. However, I have no idea if they make any to suit broken down guns.

ozalid
I use remington gun socks for my guns, £7.25 off ebay, but mine are not broken down for storage. Otherwise I would just wrap everything in any old towels or rags you have handy, give em a very light spray with oil, they will last forever and cost nowt!
