pavman
As some of you know I have for some time had a reoccurring dream that involves myself Kylie some ferrets and a tube of KY! This seems to have been replaced with a new one. Mrs P had a very close male friend when she was younger and he sadly passed away before his 30th birthday. Being an ex RAF fighter pilot he said he wanted to go out with a bang. So a group of friends and family had his ashes made into a rocket and they launched him into the big blue yonder one night with a champagne toast, a very fitting tribute to my mind and one that would have no doubt made him smile. Anyway Mrs P recounted the story to me over Christmas as she misses him; by all accounts he was a top bloke. Now I keep dreaming my ashes are loaded into my mates Punt Gun round and I get mixed in as buffer with 15 Oz of BB shot and see myself propelled at Geese and Ducks….. I may have this written into my will as to me it’s got to beat lying under a rose bush when the time comes  Any thoughts!
Dunkield
Nice one Pav 'man made cartridges' Didn't some one have their ashes loaded in a shotgun cartridge or a clay recently, and his mates shot it? I am sure I read that in the news or maybe on here?

fiiish1987
I've read that in America, if your killed while hunting then thats exactly what happens. Your cartridge is fired at the species of your choice (obviously you choose it before your death) and is fired by your best friend.
al4x
you might need a few cartridges to do it, We've still got my other halfs dad in a cupboard as the family can't decide what to do with him and there sure is a lot of ashes to fit in a punt gun

new to the flock
Pavman I am with you, as Trix knows I want to be loaded up and shot out over the marsh and field. I have requested this arond 12 years ago, and since have heard of two other people that have done it. One Chap was an old marsh hunter over here and accounted for something like 130 ducks that season between his friends. The other was in England, his wife contacted an ammunition maker there and they agreed to load him up. If I recall correctly 12 of his friends each recieved 3 boxes of shot and they had a game day on his favourite estate accounting if I remember correctly a number of pheasant, hare, rabbit, and fox. As you say far better than sitting under a rose bush or on a mantle  NTTF
al4x
What about a salvo from a 5 shot auto al4x? would need to be a large caliber believe me the ashes we've dot are in a 2 litre container so possibly you might be able to get a box of 250 cartridges done and hand them out on a driven day

starlight32
I am told pavman that ash when eaten by egg laying chickens, strengthens the egg shell. I wonder if this applies to wildfowl too? So therefore if it is your wish to be scattered over the marsh, you will be doing your bit for welfare of the fowl foodchain. regards starlight32 P.S Anyway you still at work at this time on a friday? or still cleaning out the fish?
