SSS
Cheers tx4. I think they're the way to go if I can't find anything suitable nearby. If they can offer a refund if they don't fit then I'm sure they'll exchange.

Therealchucknorris
Seeland Estates work well for me. Good amount of room for my calves but still tight enough around my ankles. Couple that with the vibram sole, gel cushioning and the neoprene lining for warmth I haven't put a foot wrong in them for three years. Big thumbs up from me... figgy
Most big wellies will take 18" it's when you got big calves then the problems start. You don't really get to pick what's nice looking or comfortable more what you can get on your feet and legs. My size 13 need a 14 wellie really trotters and 20" calf combo limits my choice. When your a big lad all over hight and build getting things to fit is a night mare, especially comdoms as it looks like you put a little sock on to keep half warm  just saying Figgy
crichbish
I have the Hunter Balmoral but find them tight around my calf, I have the straps loose but have to choose trousers carefully, jeans too tight. My old le chemmau leather lined boots were much roomier, but then being over£300 and me now having 3kids makes them a non starter, even if they did last me 10 years! MJP75
I have size 14 feet with 22" calves, Grub boots no good, seeland estate full zip no good, but seeland outthere boots (no zips) I find to be great, very comfy infact. HDAV
yeah checked those out also but only go to 43 cm (17" near enough) on size 10 in the extra large calfs which is smaller than the hunters dam you large calfs from cycling and rugby !! found the Le Chameau Chasseur Extra Wide at 46cm calf but they £340 :( Just bough Aigle parcours ISO want me to measure the calf? Found them a better fit than the balmoral http://www.cambers.com/clothing-footwear/footwear/aigle-parcours-2-iso-bronze also,do half sizes

The Essex Hunter
My calves are 22" around, I tried seeland wellies, no good even with gusset fully stretched, asked advice and was told to try grub stalkers. In size 11 or 12, they easily fit over thick trousers and my mutant legs, are really warm, comfy, light, and very grippy sole. can't recommend them highly enough. When I worked in the dive industry this would size thing would crop up with wet suit booties etc, usually xxl shot women with fat calf's. Jon at Bell-air would make them a pair of sock type to fit the fin pocket. With dry suites you chose the size of half wellie and he would made a neoprene or laminate suite to fit you and then fit them to the dry suite. For them to cut a shaped piece to fit around your calf/leg would be easy, they could trim the top with a bead and glue the piece to the right size wellie boot. They do 7-10mm neoprene in lots of shades (even camo lol) There are some very good dry suite manufactures around who will make them for you. HDAV
Ok so as standard looks like about 18" around the top of the internal of the boot. They are 15.5" tall internal from heel height wise. Having them at full stretch may not be comfy but its close to 21" hard to measure but looks like 21" at full expansion, certainly 10.5" flat across the internal.
