DaveK
Gobsmacked to say the least. Lorraine put her cert in for a variation to West Yorks police and it came back in the new format with the unasked for AOLQ in the conditions. Well done West Yorks. Finally doing the right thing. The Mighty Prawn
Durham are doing the exact same thing now Must be a mistake surely? Maybe they cut and pasted another force?
Luckyshot
Must be a mistake surely? Maybe they cut and pasted another force? You would think so, been asking for it for 2 years.
barrelsniffer
I've just renewed my cert after chatting with the FEO on the home visit i mentioned AOLQ he had no problems with me having it and when i got my new cert it was not on but after a quick call to the licensing office she said she would have speak to my FEO, same day was called to send my licence back which was still the old format and yesterday my new licence new format came back with everything i asked for ammo up and AOLQ quite pleased after all the problems over the yrs asking for it and i am with cheshire

reggiegun
I have AOLQ on my license for 223, but still mentions fox. Can I shot muntjac without having deer on it, as it is legal quarry for 223? Reggiegun
Kes
I have AOLQ on my license for 223, but still mentions fox. Can I shot muntjac without having deer on it, as it is legal quarry for 223? Reggiegun I dont see how muntjac qualifies as anything but LQ. I would ask them specifically and mention the 'fox' caveat. If they say no, its not AOLQ - get in touch with your shooting rep.
r1steele
I have AOLQ on my license for 223, but still mentions fox. Can I shot muntjac without having deer on it, as it is legal quarry for 223? Reggiegun Muntjac is LAWFULL QUARRY and it isn't fox but is ANY OTHER as opposed to fox so you can legally shoot muntjac (or Roe in Scotland). Fox and ANY OTHER LAWFULL QUARRY. Salizar
Got my licence back last week in the new format after a one for one request, it also has AOLQ added in the conditions on all calibres, but still mentions fox also on my .
SC00P
I'm about to fill my variation Has anyone from scotland got AOLQ without asking for it ? Or do i need to ask for it ? Thanks John
r1steele
Call your FEO and ask him to include the AOLQ condition when you send in for your variation. He should give it to you as it is in the ACPO guidelines to include the condition. Let him know that you will put a covering letter in with your FAC regarding the conversation so they don't forget to include AOLQ. David BASC
I am very pleased that after all the hard work BASC and the NGO have done to get the licencing teams to put AOLQ on certificates at renewal is being taken up by most constabularies. Livefast123
When I sent mine in for variation last year with Avon and Somerset I didn't get it even though I asked for it.......oh and they 'forgot' to up my ammo allowance and put my semi auto down as bolt action. It's in for another variation now and I have asked for AOLQ, so we shall see what happens.
