I do wish that more maize was grown round here as I may even be tempted to go out in the wet if there were pigeons feeding in those fields. What surprises me is just how long after maize has been harvested it remains of interest to corvids and pigeons. So the Birds are very wide spread and its hard to find a concentration. We have shot over 300 on the last four shoots. But before this its been hard to fine a good bag. Lets face it we are all having a lean time because of the large nut harvest. Long term the Farmers are going to be shouting for us .
