A lovely varied bag

Pleasant morning if a little cold. I managed to get out at 7.30 and got to my permission at about 7.50 after a nice walk to warm me up

I saw a crow from the bridge and slowed my pace to try and creep up on it. It was happily chattering away and I managed to silence it once and for all with a head shot from around 40 yards

Next on the hit list was a maggie from the same spot as the crow quickly followed by another

I got settled in at the side of my grans house again and waited for the woodies to come over. Sure enough after about 20 mins they started to pitch in to the trees at the back of the garden

I had one in the bag almost straight away and after a wait of about another 15/20 mins I took another with a cracking head shot again and down it tumbled stone dead

After a wait I decided to set off on my route home

I spotted a drey and put a couple of pellets in to it and out sprang 3 very angry squirrels. I shot 2 with clean head shots and the other got away. Not a bad couple of hours shooting

Note to myself : get some more thermal wellies as my feet were like ice when I got home

That's a cracking bag BB, great walk round :good: My air rifles are giving me much more sport than the shotgun these days, glad I have them or there would be nothing going on.

Just a heads up...... I know a lot of people don't rate Jack Pyke stuff, but I bought a pair of those JP Tundra boots. They are really light, unlike neoprene wellies, cheaper than wellies, and keep your feet really toasty warm :good:

Yes they are. They obviously won't protect you as deep as willies, but one of my farms is really wet soggy clay. Wellies just tire you out as they clag up, but the JP's are perfect. Just seen them on fleebay at £60 :good:
