Just to let every body know .An other years use with my Beretta urika 2 with out a single misfire or hang up . The gun has performed perfectly with just about every load and case length on the market .Just gave it its annual clean . Because of the rotating gas piston ,no **** at all in the piston housing .

Thought you would all like to hear this . Will report again next year .

How many shells do you put through it in a year???

Not as much as a pigeon or clay shooter or it would jam eventually.

Think its Wildfowling loads he uses,

Got to say never cleaned my SX3 this season put a few hundred through it wildfowling and clays with not one problem, note to self will need cleaning.

My Urika 1 is still going strong after 8 years. It has been used as a pigeon and wildfowl gun and also for instruction. Probably had in excess of 25,000 through it from 21 to 36 gram. It is cleaned after every outing but stripped and fully cleaned about once per year. Put over 1000 through it in one day all without problems.

Proberbly 2000 per year . Pigeon shooting and a few clays on the farm . Its now in its fourth year with out a single misfire . Although it did pull the head off a couple of cartridges .

 that shot me down in flames Harnser didn't know you shot that much with it, that's some going without a jam. I cleaned mine today after shooting a few rounds of clays to end the season with it. It was filthy but not bunged up just black like inside a car exhaust, expected a lot worse.

I recently bought a used U2 which looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a long time , the piston housing looked like the exhaust port of a Scammell Explorer, even the exhaust port in the foregrip was half blocked with soot but it still worked fine, I have cleaned it since though so should be good for a while :good:

The self cleaning piston in the urika 2 is a blessing in a self loader . Absolutely no muck in the internals of the gun . Yes its sooty when you strip the gun down ,but no lumps of muck .

I concider myself a full time pigeon shooter since retirement . I also shoot plenty of shells through my other guns as well . The urika 2 is with out a doubt the smoothest gun I have ever shot ,and my favourite pigeon and hide gun .
