ace_of_hearts
Went out with Scott on Sunday night, with the new .17HMR and the .22LR. Luckily it was a great night, no wind and nice and dry. We ended up with 6 rabbits. The rifle was great, and can't wait to get out with it again, although I wasn't too impressed with the ammunition. It was also my 25th birthday yesterday, so with the day off and a load of rabbits from the night before (and pigeons from last Monday) I decided to make a big terrine. Just had the first slices for lunch and it tastes great

ace_of_hearts
The recipe is from the River Cottage cookbook, but is almost exactly the same as this one (but I just used rabbit and pigeon instead of the duck and pheasant) http://www.waitrose.com/home/recipes/recipe_directory/g/game_terrine.html The Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall version had a splash of red wine and brandy in the forcemeat as well though Edited February 11, 2014 by ace_of_hearts
