Will Poon
Not the same gun as yours but my maxus wouldn't cycle the 21g comp as well
Thunderbird
I think most people will in a semi with these, very soft recoil. Not worth bothering with in a s/a I would say.
OddJob
My AL391 will cycle them most of the time but I get the odd stoppage. You're dealing with a soft cart with a short 67mm length, either of which a semi can struggle with.

SirDread
Soft cartridge for a S/A. We use them for the missus in an OU because they are so soft.
Guest cookoff013
These are not even 67 mm they are 65 mm most semi autos have problems with them Deershooter very true, the "65mm" are not even that, if you actually measure them they fall shorter even still, (only about 0.5mm) the benelli pump i use cant handle 65mm, it is because of how the action is designed. anyone stating that the gun doesnt know what length it is firing, should just compare the ejection, the 70mm shells are held onto slightly longer to put more tension on the side ejector spring, the claw just holds on to the rim. comparing 70mm to both 3" and 3.5" all eject relatively reliable. oscarsdad
My 3 1/2 chambered maxus will happily eat 65mm cartridges but won't cycle anything below 27g, I tried 24g at the weekend and it doesn't like them so had to shoot a flush with my non-ejector double trigger game gun lol! Wiggum
My A400 xplor light will cycle them no bother
wabbitbosher
I've used a few light loads in semis but Only 70 mm seems to work Most Semis dont do 65's and 67's

Paul T
I would have thought your A400 would cycle 21g Comp X. My AL391 will ( I shoot them all the time), but it needs to be spotlessly clean. I make sure the rod and piston are scrubbed of all carbon deposits and the rod has a very light coating of silicon oil. Yeah, I know Beretta reckon this should be run dry, but it was recommended by the PW member I bought it off and it does work.
Andy@HarboroRocks
Hi , the cartridge wont produce enough gas to make the gun work , but apart from that the 21g is a great cartridge for o/u or s/s and is my first choise of cartridge when I am coaching new clients
