Homemade adjustable stock

Just a few pics of an adjustable stock I made, using some aluminium flat and round bar and some stainless steel screws.

 

 

Here are the material i used, the red pieces of plastic are from an old bucket I had lying around.

This is it fitted to my Tikka 22-250. The ripples you can see on the aluminium is the reflection of a roller shutter door, I've only just noticed :no:

And this is it extended to 5", I put 2 stainless steel grub screws on the other side of the stock to lock it in place.

The heaps of praise for this is justified, i used to work with some engineering pattern makers and they would be impressed.. :-) It's amazing if your willing to spend some time with ally what you can achieve and the polishing looks good too..

I've been toying with something like this for my foster boy as he's so small for his age but you know the second i cut the stock down he'll have a growth spurt.. :-)
