fenboy
Not sure about cartridges , you certainly cannot buy a gun on it. Looks like Lincs are getting their act together , my renewal took months and I had to chase them for a temp certificate . Much better now you can do transfers online too. CharlieT
Why would you need to buy cartridges, a S7 permit only permits you to possess your gun not use it !!
blade
I need to buy cartridges cause I'm nearly out and every time iv brought them in the past iv been asked for my sgc.So was just wondering if showing the temp cert will still enable me to purchase some
parapilot
I would think most rfds would be happy with it, but suppose its up to them. Don't know legally tho so I'm speculating
bull dog
No is the answer you can't buy cartridges or any ammo on a section 7 you will have to get a mate to get them on their ticket for you
team tractor
I remember when Staffordshire was taking 5 months for renewals and I said I'll need cartridges so what should I do? They replied stock up on what you'll need How many and how much money
HDAV
They replied stock up on what you'll need How many and how much money Easy carts used per month on average x months expected to wait - carts in stock. If you shoot 1k a month and have 1500 left buy 4000 (not like prices are going down!)

V8 90
Why did you send you SGC in ? I've just got my renewal forms from Humberside & on there it says you can send in a signed copy of your SGC
Sprackles
Why would you need to buy cartridges, a S7 permit only permits you to possess your gun not use it !! And where does it state that......? I wasn't aware there were two conditions on a SGC, one for possession and the other for use.

CharlieT
So if they issue you with a temperary cert you cannot go shooting for the 2/3/4/however many months it takes them to get round to your renewal? It's a bit of a contentious issue. Over the years I've seen and had them worded both ways, most have been worded to possess only and a few possess and use. It all depends on what restrictions they write on it. Remember that its a temporary permit, not a temporary certificate.

Remember a SGC is also a permit to possess....no wording to say may possess and go shooting with them as separate conditions.
