Alexbb
Apart from Gun Watch of course, where do you get the most realistic prices for 2nd hand guns? Is it worth buying hard copy publications.? Any thoughts guys?
Ttfjlc
Sometimes it all comes down to how much someone is willing to pay, I've seen all types of guns on here for example, some have a set price and go within 5 minutes and others are only on here for a day before they drop the price by 50 quid. At least with guntrader and gunwatch etc they're all listed in front of you so you can compare a little easier.

chrisjpainter
I've used gunstar for both buying and selling. Gunwatch isn't the best for air rifle sales; a few crop up now and again, but it's better for shotguns and rifles. Gunstar always has plenty of air rifles
FatherandSon
Gun trader is great. Good search facilities and easy filtering of results.
johnbaz
Agree that Gunstar is mostly waaay overpriced but occasionally, a gem turns up It's usually gone in 60 seconds though! John
Zetter
Airgun BBS is good once you get access to the sales section

John yup! you have to be quick, but it's worth keeping an eye out. I picked up an ultra SE for £525 the other day, I made £250 on the extras that it came with so ended up with a nice little gun-scope-HW silencer combination for £275. Not being in a rush to get something helps a lot!
Alexbb
Wow scoobie007, that is exactly what I was looking for at the same price.... B*gger? So you go to facebook and type in air rifle?? I hate facebook.
FalconFN
You can always try free ads and gumtree but they will have to be local to you. I got a HW98 for £140 a few years ago from free ads.

Yeah just search for hunting groups, local swap sites etc, some bargains can be found. Was lucky as the guy was no more than 5 minutes away from me, right place right time I guess :-) Edited April 26, 2014 by scoobie007

I was banned from Gumtree a few years ago for placing a want ad for airguns! Had to use the wifes email for ages as mine was blocked with them!! I'm back on now tho'!
