Paddy Galore!
my van needs a paint job, got a horrendous quote from one place but didn't have time to trawl through the phone book, so any of you guys know roughly how much it'd cost to respray a caddy van? nothing fancy, I was thinking of massey ferguson red. i'd also do all the donkey work of filling and sanding, but I don't have the time or the space to do it all myself. cheers, paddioli

four-wheel-drive
Probably best to just do any dents and or rust yourself and leave it at that unless you have a friend who could do it cheep.
neil82
any body work is mega expensive, modern water based paints mean that the prep work has to be perfect or it will look******, the amount of labour involved has to be seen to be believed, if I just wanted a tart up I would probably just use gloss paint with a bit of varnish mixed in and slap it on with a roller, if you want a quick cheap job consider vinyl wrapping, covers no end of **** and a lot cheaper than a half decent spray job

Hi Bazzab, i'm in Norwich Norfolk bud.

Luckyshot
Depends if you can get someone to do it for mates rates if so this cost me around £260 in materials to prep and paint 2k clear over base. This small repair cost £50 prep and paint 2k solid.

Not a bad price for a pro job, mine were just done in uncles garage so hard to get the same finish without a lot more work.
