Lurch
Well if we do get anymore i'm going to have to work out how to disable the ABS on the car. Why for? Because you need to build up a little snow drift in front of the wheels to stop, this means you need the wheels to lock - which ABS is designed to stop. Snow + ABS = not so good

Highlander
Never ceases to amaze me how a little drop in temperature and some wet white stuff brings this country to a grinding halt. I've heard all the excuses this week, I can't come in to work today I've got (bird) flu and now I can get into work today the roads are too icy. If you wanna talk about snow talk to NTTF and ask him how Canucks survive at -30 and with 6' of the white stuff
pin
Northerners seem to manage Anywhere that gets snow regularly will learn to manage, what do londoners see, maybe once a year?

Ferret Master
Well the day started at 3:15AM with me staring out the window watching the snow fall and getting more excited than I do on Christmas morning. The ferrets weren't too sure about the white stuff but after a while Nippy started being a snow plough but had to stop as too much snow had gone up her nose and triggered a ferrety sneezing attack. The way to school was chaos as expected which climaxed in me being chased up the hill to my school by a hard nut in my tutor who had just recieved a faceful of snow courtesy of moi. :o Anyway upon entering the playground through the gates my head of year was there telling us to DROP OUR WEAPONS. AND THAT ANYBODY CAUGHT WILL HAVE A HEAD OF YEAR DETENTION WITH ME TOMORROW! :o So we went round infront of the maths block where 150+ lads were waging war on each other with one teacher trying to stop us. This teacher beat a retreat after being pelted with snow by a few volleys from the yr 11's. Mayhem resumed for a few more minutes until 10 more teachers broke us up and ushered us into the buildings. :( I don't know what breaktime was like as we had gone on a visit to a Hindu temple in Bristol. But they had no snow there. On the way back it began to rain which spelled the end of most of the snow. Lunchtime was suitably chaotic. We had a good 200+ people throwing snow at each other behind the maths block with 2 6th form dinner ladies trying to stop us and being pelted with snow. They were sooned 'snowed' into retreat. We continued until various members of senior staff came out of the building and as soon as they were spotted pandomonium broke loose with various pupils being collared by them while others ran round the back and back in by the gate while the others including myself made a break for the playground and freedom. My mate wasn't so lucky though he has a head of year detention tomorrow, head of school on Monday and was sent to another teachers office. I LOVE SNOW!!!!!!! naddan28
Uni was chaos! UKC, has a large number of meadows beneath the campus which are usually teaming with squirrels and rabbits. Althou with the snow we had another type of vermin come up from the fields! The local council estates ******!!! Me and my mate went back to his, when 3 10yr old gals were asking me "whether I was ard' enuf" and attempted to throw snow at us. Also a bit further round the estate 5 yobs had climbed on a flat roof and were attacking anything which moved, which at the time was a poor ginger kitten! Would say something but this estate is like going behind enemy lines, as it the local's view its the students that smash up and perform break ins!
