Dunkield
Nice! I have to attend a course in April, one of the suggested venues is 22 miles from a Cabela's IF it happens, I will mainly be spending all my spare time in there

jonno 357
did you pay any customs? Did I balls Dazza B) The little green customs ticket was marked up as Gift Emailed the dude I was buying from and gave him specific intructions to mark up as gift I have a leupold VX III scope coming in next week. Same score, marked as gift Avoid having items sent with rifle scope or hunting or words to that effect on the ticket or the HM customs will open and have a nosey then you get charged Jonno

pavman
I got a jacket that leaked from Bass Pro, turning into a right hassle, paid tax paid postage to return, I have no jacket (out of stock) £34 tax and £24 postage
pin
Its worth pointing out the rules changed not so far back. If your items cost less than £18 (£36 for gifts) then you generally don't have to pay (Import Duty, Excise and VAT) Anything past that you do have to pay. Calculations are based on the declared value, if none is declared they will take "market rate", plush shipping and charge you as above. Obviously you would have to get "caught" as such for them to slap the charges on
jonno 357
I bought a Dillon RL550 a couple of years ago from Canada. pin
Its luck of the draw mate, have had stuff through no bother no charges, other stuff they check. They can't check everything which is good news for us
Wookie
We got a whole load of winch parts through and managed to avoid import duty, but they too were marked up as gifts. With the dollar as weak as it is, even with duty it's probably _still_ cheaper to buy from the US.
mossy835
if we all bought from the usa, then it might be cheaper over here.all my stuff comes from the usa.
