did you pay any customs?

Did I balls Dazza :P B)

The little green customs ticket was marked up as Gift :good::good::P:P

Emailed the dude I was buying from and gave him specific intructions to mark up as gift

I have a leupold VX III scope coming in next week. Same score, marked as gift

Avoid having items sent with rifle scope or hunting or words to that effect on the ticket or the HM customs will open and have a nosey then you get charged

Nice!

I have to attend a course in April, one of the suggested venues is 22 miles from a Cabela's :P

IF it happens, I will mainly be spending all my spare time in there :good:

Maybe you should start taking orders. You could make some beer money and spend more time in a great shop :good:

Its worth pointing out the rules changed not so far back.

If your items cost less than £18 (£36 for gifts) then you generally don't have to pay (Import Duty, Excise and VAT)

Anything past that you do have to pay. Calculations are based on the declared value, if none is declared they will take "market rate", plush shipping and charge you as above.

Obviously you would have to get "caught" as such for them to slap the charges on :good:

Was it the same typewriter? I bet they have "one of everything" and they don't ship it at all, they just deliver the one they have there and re-stock with the one you send when it turns up on the boat :good::P

they would of struggled, was some old piece of junk from about 1910 !! the things some people will buy :good:

Was it a Remington typewriter? Very collectable......
