Gordon R
The Little Mill at Rowarth and the Boar at Tintwistle both have skeet and sporting - in addition to Manchester Shooting Ground. I believe Manchester SG is the dearest of the three. http://www.thelittlemill.co.uk/shooting.html http://www.boarclayshootingground.co.uk/ http://www.manchesterclayshooting.com/ Edited July 7, 2014 by Gordon R

I've driven past the one on the Woodhead many times and always fancied a round there but could never find out what it was called. Looking across the reservoir they look like some great birds and they are open 7 days
Caesar9
Old Glossop Clay Shooting Ground, We're about 20 minutes from manchester and currently run 50 bird sporting open competitions every other sunday. We're just down the road from The Boar on woodhead road. We don't have a skeet layout but we run a pool shoot with payout every 20 entries and £60 High Gun. We charge £15 competition entry, £12 Competition re-entry and £12 Birds only. http://oldglossopclaysg.co.uk/ www.facebook.com/OldGlossopCSG twitter.com/OldGlossopCSG Have a look, we're a friendly bunch with a relaxed atmosphere. GazzerG
Think that's a bit harsh..... Iv'e only been shooting for 6 months, and granted I've only been to Kelbrook and Worsley, but I think Worsley is fine. Due to other weekend commitments, I go on a Wednesday evening and find it great. Staff are friendly and the 3 ground staff lads are always around asking how the traps are. £25 for 110 clays and a free 100 after 10 visits. I've heard it gets a bit hectic at weekends with stag parties but most of these are around the 6 practise stands. Maybe once I've travelled around a bit I may see why you think its soo bad.... marktattoo
The other year it was 100 free every 5 visits effectively, members used to get buy 100 and receive 120 non members got 110 but they took that away from the membership as well as charging cheaper prices to new members, with other changes such as the fibre wad rule, which I believe wasn't there doing more the land owners but with everything combined I might get there occasionally to have a shoot but never renewed my membership, generally go else where these days

Westley
Is there anywhere still allowing plastics? Got 400 eleys collecting dust.... Kelbrook, at Colne, Catton Hall, Frodsham, Ribble Bank, Hesketh Bank,. Although, collecting dust may be the best use of the Eley's.
