Guest stevo
I have always know them as landers . But to be honest does it really matter . Personally im happy with whatever people want to call them .
ShropshireSam
Never had much look with bouncers and just started using birds on white canes with wing spreaders. Have them at a range of heights to maintain variety in the "picture". Since using them I think they are doing some good. To me they are angels
malkiserow
Standing upright with wings spread out = Angels in my book
wymberley
I find that when shooting over stubble that the same effect can be achieved by using the stubble itself. Think I might just be in a minority of one though. I've finally come to the conclusion that all and any of the gizmos can as often as not make matters worse - with the exception of this one idea - and have decided that the best choice is simply a well laid out decoy pattern; adding dead birds and possibly removing the decoys if the numbers shot warrant it as you go along. malkiserow
I see the angels as part of the decoy pattern rather than a go faster stripe/gizmo, they just present the bird upright as if landing meaning "safe and good to land her guys"

The only proviso to my post is that it assumes that a recce has been done and that one is shooting where the birds want to be.

matt 205 gti
I been asked a number of times what I mean by the term "Angels" in my posts. Well today I managed to take some pictures. They are made out of wire coat hangers and 1mm steel tubing and are meant to represent a bird landing in the pattern. So what does the Massive call these? ? Hi mate is there any chance you could give us a side on pic to these as they look to be more substantial to the ones i try and bodge together , the amount of times ive sat in front room whilst the wife is watching coronation street bloody twisting coathangers with a pair of moles grips is geting out of hand now ! pigeon controller
Is the kick-plate really necessary? I have no kick plate on mine just flatten the tube to stop it twisting in high winds.
