fortune
Blown hose or water pump seal failure+ no water in cooling sytem. DO NOT RUN ENGINE UNTIL YOU CHECK THIS OUT unless you already have in which case you might have done serious damage to the engine. neil82
depends on the age of the van, some small fords have an electronic valve controlling hot water feed to the heater matrix, check that there is water in the system, if ok check both hoses to the heater to see if they are both hot
mossy835
water in there, one is hot the other is cold going to the heater.
Ryan gun
Take the pipes of to the heater matrix and run water from a hose pipe through it it will be scummy and blocked after a few minutes connect pipes back up and you should have a serviceable heater fingers crossed
Gordon R
The heater matrix is blocked or the car has the valve, mentioned before, which is defective. I have known both problem on Fords - in the last ten years. Edited August 23, 2014 by Gordon R
Devonhunter
the thermostat could be stuck open.
neil82
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Ford-Fiesta-KA-Puma-NEW-HEATER-CONTROL-VALVE-/330561770165 check there, you will have a picture of the valve, think you can connect a bulb to the connector and when you adjust the heat settings inside the bulb should get brighter (or dimmer depending on what you set it to), you could bypass the valve with some copper pipe, if its still cold the matrix is blocked or your water pump is stuffed
neil82
the thermostat could be stuck open. if the `stat was stuck open it would still warm up, just take ages to do it, and the stat is not on the heater circuit, its between the engine and the radiator, heater feed bypasses it

armsid
the valve for the heater is on the bulkhead under bonnet it is easy to do you can see it by looking at the back of the engine compartment this is common failure and should be a cheap fix doing it yourself,
Gordon R
About 5 minutes, if you take your time.
neil82
if the valve is stuffed, take your time removing it, the plastic pipes are **** for getting brittle and breaking off in the hoses, if that happens, crush the ends and pull the bits out with long nosed pliars, make sure you get all the bits out or they might jam the new valve tho
