Kalahari
Contact BASC and ask about the permit scheme. They will help. David.
IEH
There's a hell of a lot to learn if you're serious about it and in your own words 'you don't know where to start'. You're much more likely to get some success if you join a club and can persuade someone to mentor you, rather than stumbling around trying to teach yourself. Some clubs offer guided taster flights which might be another way to dip your toes in the water (probably literally!) AberFowl
Where in the country are you? I am sure there will be somebody near enough you that could point you in the right direction for permits (where needed) and show you how to carry on. I hope you enjoy it and good luck. Kalahari
The BASC scheme usually means you can be a guest of a club and go out with a club member. The BASC will send out the booklet of details foc or I think you can download it as a pdf. David.

DNT
Really got it stuck in my head to try wild fowling this year but really don't no where to start I don't wanna join a club straight away I see Tides Edge already put KWCA in the frame. We already have a few members in the Surrey area. We operate a Try Wildfowling Scheme where you can book a day for a guided flight. However it must be remembered that one day is a really difficult way to start Wildfowling. If you join there are mentors and a field trip officer to arrange a guide for you. If you want a bit more info go to our website, if there's not enough there for you, give me a call on the mobile number on the site or pm through this site. We can have a brief chat about your best options. Regards. DNT (KWCA Gen. Secretary).
marsh man
Really got it stuck in my head to try wild fowling this year but really don't no where to start I don't wanna join a club straight away Like most of the other posts I recommend you to try a day or two at a club near you , or at the minimum go with someone who knows what there doing. Wildfowling can be dangerous , there is a lot to consider if you intend going on the foreshore such as wind direction, tides, fog, and so on. If you are keen this is a decent time of the year to get used to the area where you intend to go , while the weather is mild and the evening is still light. In a couple of months time the marsh and the weather will be completely different .You didn't say what sort of wildfowling your interested in, such as Foreshore, inland marsh , decoying geese , or flight ponds, they all involve wild fowl but there is a big difference in the way you go after them . Good luck and if you need any help just ask and we will do our best to oblige .
