robbiep
Auto or manual box ? A/T or road biased tyres ? Total vehicle mileage ? Type of driving (motorway, town, rural) ? All those things will affect the mpg. Edited September 22, 2014 by robbiep
Twistedsanity
Change your driving style, my shogun can do anywhere between 18-30 mpg depending on my mood and choice of music, black sabbath is down in the 18's whereas classic FM can get me in the high 20's

loriusgarrulus
Auto trader reckons they will do between 23-37 mpg. Have you tried putting one of the super diesels in her. We usually use Shell,Esso or BP. If you shop round you normally only pay about 8% more for the fuel and get between 10-15% more mpg for it and better performance. robbiep
We used to get 25-27 out of our 2.7d Terrano, before it bit the dust a few months ago. That was local runs, all on-road use. I can entirely believe 21 mpg off road.
motty
I know it isn't the same vehicle, but my Toyota surf 3L only averages between 24-28mpg. I have used Redex fuel additive and this seems to improve my mpg by as much as 5mpg. It's worth a try.
figgy
Don't complain that's very good for driving on farms the friction and rolling resistance is a lot more of the Tarmac . My Discovery only done that on the road, off road was low teens. My petrol Rav4 averages about 24 on the road. Figgy
