Baldrick
I haven't used them, but they got a fairly unimpressive review in the press when the first trial batches were released. Ask Dunganick - I recall him commenting on how he had got on with these cartridges.
dunganick
not bad cartridges, heavy on recoil in my opinion, however they are massively over priced, and for the money there are much cheaper cartridges which perform just as well. Save your money and buy something from the hull or express range
chrisv
A friend bought a thousand of them and has swapped a handful with quite a few people. Without exception the reaction has been "nasty recoil!". They certainly break the clays, but I wouldn't touch 'em!

MAG1
Interesting. You ask for opinions, get 100% Negative feedback and then you still buy 1000? Why ask? Bought them last week, just asking to see what they like, thought thats what this site was for didnt realise it was yours and you make the rules !!!! why answer !!!!!!! mark

me and my lad
have been using them for a while and like them. dont notice any extra recoil but i shoot a cynergy, my lad has even tried a few in my gun and said there wasnt any difference in recoil than the express he uses in his 20 b. i pay £130 per 1000

Gordon R
Over-priced and no better than cheaper Eley, Victory etc.
paulos
they are a cracking cartridge, but the felt wads have a right kick with them. the plastics are much better i still cant handle much recoil though,so im sticking with blue diamonds or 24gm express for now
dunganick
if you want low recoil and good performance try the hull intercomp/comp x in 28g or 24g. Also the lowest recoiling cartridge i have found is game bore xlr 24g fibre. I hate the 28g with a passion, but the 24g version is superb. oozelumbird
Great cartridge, but worth the extra? iam not sure. You can shoot just as well with cheaper cartridges. Maybe a fashionable cartridge on some shooting grounds. I find them very good for DTL.
PhilPot
i normally use white gold xlr but bought 500 black gold fibre wad to try out and i like them alot, they do give alot of kick but iv found that now iv put a reactor pad in my shooting vest i have no problem, and when they hit them clays they really dust them but yep like the others say they are quite alot of bang for your buck, so probably not worth the money lol
peter-peter
Hi guys Anyone used Gamebore Black gold,What do you think ? cheers mark  yes i have they are overpriced, too much recoil and not as good as hull sovereign if you want to spend that sort of money go for sovereign's,
starlight32
I have picked up two lots of them now cheap from people who have bought them and found them unsuitable. Mainly recoil issues and gunshop told me they have had some customers who have been really knocked about by them. I found them very, very fast for a 28g, and used them for decoying which I found them to be comparible with cheaper 32g loads. I will agree with other threads though- at an average of £150-160 a thousand average clay shooters will not spend that type of money on cartridges. Same as pigeons too- most people will not spend a fortune on shells for that either. Regards starlight32
