Scully
Can't say I've ever found a mis-matched action and barrel, but unless you personally find it an issue it shouldn't effect the function of the gun. Which serial number has the RFD entered on your ticket? Edit: You mentioned 'barrels', have you more than one barrel for the gun? sitsinhedges
The serial numbers on autos don't <necessarily> match. My Urika has completely different numbers on the barrel and action and I've had it from new. The number on the action is the one that should be on your ticket. HDAV
Very common no need to worry just remeber which one went on your cert and use that as "THE" serial number.

casts_by_fly
My Franchi barrel/action match as they are factory matched. I wouldn't make a blanket statement that all semi autos don't match. I'd suggest in this case that it was a replacement barrel as noted above. thanks, rick

ptrangmar
I have three browning Doubleauto's and one twelvett. and six barrel that are all interchangeable. When I renewed last month, I had to list the actions and the barrels all separately. None of the barrel had numbers that match the actions.
