Pigeonman1
Hi all, Im after a little help. A friend has asked me for some help finding a clay pigeon ground that she can book for her boyfriend and father for christmas. I have shot quite a few times at Braithwell gun club (which is a great place to spend a sunday morning!) however neither of them own their own gun. Does anyone know of somewhere in the South Yorkshire area where she could book a shooting 'experience' for her boyfriend and father? Any help/ideas appreciated. HDAV
Check the cpsa site, any club listed should have a section 11(6) exemption for now cert holders to shoot clays. Ring a few and have a chat see what they can offer. http://www.junction3clayshoot.co.uk/tuition.php £45 is a bit steep for 20 would expect 25 shots minimum really. Bit further but doveridge has a very good reputation worth the drive over http://www.doveridgeclaysports.co.uk/ Edited November 26, 2014 by HDAV

lksopener
Go a bit further and go to nottingham and district gun club. Ask for carl he taught my mrs to shoot and the lessons are excellent, the first one is only £35 of the top of my head but includes a full lesson on gun safety and maintenance As well as some shooting! Westley
Coniston Shooting Ground, Coniston Hall. On A65 just outside Skipton. Superb ground, excellent clubhouse reasonably priced. Be warned though, clay shooting is infectous.
