rich1985
Hi guys and girls, any pros or cons for following guns in 243 caliber, mainly foxing but few deer. 1- savage axis 2- howa 1500 3- ruger American Thanks people.
JimLondon
I can't comment on the other guns but I have the howa in .243 and in very happy with it,so much so that I put in for a variation to get a 2nd .243 slot for a dedicated NV rifle and I wouldn't think twice about getting another one. team tractor
I wouldn't swap my howa for anything else.

welshwarrior
I like both the Howa and savage Edge of Axis 2 not to keen on the Axis 1 or the Ruger American found the a little rough. Howa accurate easy to tune trigger unit edge accurate easy adjust trigger (accurtrigger) but forend can need stiffening.
Dekers
Howa, but I personally hate the Hogue stock, so that puts the price a chunk more than the others.
Remimax
Howa, but I personally hate the Hogue stock, so that puts the price a chunk more than the others. yep the Hogue plastic stock is total pants if your using a bipod ,groups all over the place its so bendy. team tractor
And there we go! All three have bendy plastic stocks but the Howa is still waaaaay better. I agree yep the Hogue plastic stock is total pants if your using a bipod ,groups all over the place its so bendy. That's what I have and manage 1/2 " at 100 yards on the bipod

welshwarrior
With these flexi forends they show up faults shooting style like musceling the rifle etc.
