WelshMike
Had a nice walk round a fairly new permission last night where I have accounted for 4 foxes in the last 2 weeks. Decided after a tour of the farm (on foot) that I would set the rifle up on the top of the pickup and see what effect the foxpro had. Tried a few calls for about 5 minutes before a set of eyes appeared 400 yards away. I checked through the NV on the rifle and confirmed it as a fox. Typically he decided to go round behind me and sit on the other side of a fence and have a look to see what was going on. Changed calls a few times and finally managed to get the fox into the same field. Dropped him at about 130 yards with a 75 grain sst. Big dog fox in fantastic condition. The rifle is a Howa 1500 in .243 win (varmint barrel, laminate thumbhole), sonic 45 mod and a N750A NV scope with a Nighmaster 800 IR. WelshMike
Cheers Rim Fire. Wish I had the same luck last night. Spent 3 hours not seeing foxes at a Chicken farm despite one killing 30+ last week.
