Just completed my renewal form

As above, does anybody else think it's no improvement?

The one improvement is the exclusion of the 'professional person' stipulation to referee the paperwork (as if there's such thing as an amateur person.)

I understand the need for public service cutbacks and so happily printed my forms from the TVP website, but call me old fashioned, I prefer the old form.

I am inclined to disagree with you on this one. I think that if you are applying for a coterminous licence or renewal it is a whole lot easier with just one form. I also like the fact that you dont have the hassle of finding a referee (or two) from a certain profession. Just my opinion.

I'm happy with the new forms. I did find a site where you could complete a PDF form and print it out, but I can't for the life of me find it again.:unhappy:

OK - found it! The forms can be found via links within the text. :)

Right guys i have a question for you all. My cert is not up for renewell untill 14/09/2016. So when do you recomend i re apply roughly, cheers all hh

Get it in now mate.. Dyfed Powys took just over 4 months for my renewal.

Once you have sent it recorded as robbiep says phone them up and confirm that they have received the application form, make a note of the date and who you spoke to . Depending on whether they are on the ball or not chase them up a couple of months before the expiry date to find out when you can expect a visit. Depending on the answer chase them as often as needed to get your ticket back before it expires. Fingers crossed it will be nice and qucik

That is always a nuisance for me, although I have had an open ticketr for over fifty years It is alway a pain going round the farms I shoot asking for bits of paper.

Agree with you mate. Some parts of the process seem ridiculous. I was told that there were no signs of deer on the piece of ground that I used for the written permission. I pointed out that I had an open licence and then gave them the dates, times and body weights of the 2 fallow bucks I had shot most recently. After this they were happy.

Derbyshire told me not to send in my renewal until i received my reminder from them,as for letters from land owners i was told one permission letter was enough as i have open ticket

yep, just made enquiries and my licencing department is the same, all I need is one written authority so pleased with that.
