Have you considered the Dpt mods, they are made on the same principle as the original T8 but from a modern high grade alloy.

I got one recently from Greenfields of Salisbury but I am sure any good gunsmith/shop could get one if required.

Roedale Delta's are very light and don't alter the balance of the gun. I've shot mine a lot and am very happy with it. Buy from Roedale ( http://wp.roedale.de/en/) direct or through your local non-chain RFD. If you look at an earlier post from me about UK sourced Delta's you we see why I say buy from Roedale. Pete's customer service has been second to none.

Don't worry I'm not on commission...I just had a problem and Roedale picked up on it and sorted it out like lightening - excellent service in this age of retail indifference so they get a thumbs up from me for service, and I like the can a lot too so they get a second thumbs up for the product.

There was a third party RFD involved - Pete will be able to sort it out properly for you.

As a separate issue though, whilst we're on the subject - and maybe Welshwarrior can confirm or another RFD - I thought a moderator only became a controlled part AFTER it was actually fitted to a firearm. So, in theory, a person could buy a ridiculously over-spec'ed centrefire mod for their air rifle without a provision on any FAC. Provided it was not purchase for an FAC firearm and never fitted to one it remains a legally possessed part without authority to possess. Is this correct?

I'm not sure to be honest I'd have to have a read but I would not sell you a CF mod for an airgun, I'll only sell you one if you have a FAC with permission to acquire on it.

I agree Daf it would be an odd thing to try and buy for an airgun - I was just exploring the technicalities as I remember a comment made to me by an RFD when I acquired my first ever mod. The whole subject seems to be unclear to people generally. It is interesting to read Jackson Rifles comments (I think it was them) on Council they have received regarding the whole Proof House issue.

my aimsonic has gone back because if keeps blowing seals after the first shot and shifting POI if a follow up shot is needed, i cant trust it.

i am replacing with a DPT reflex type. £255 and as light as the roedale but with a lifetime guarantee. can add more or less modules to suit rifle.

I will not go past the dpt now after putting one on my 308 could not believe how quiet and light it was...

They have only been in this country a few months the local rfd is the sole importer for the UK and Europe nice and handy as he only lives a few minutes away...

I have a wildcat compact on my 223 and i think that is great but if i ever have to get another for any of my rifles i will certainly be looking at the dpt...

I have heard of this, but mine has been faultless and I know if see any issues Alan Rhone will sort it.

Last person I spoke to said the original 3 piece model has been discontinued and replaced by the Triton which is a two piece design.

After speaking to my local shop it turns out the triton also has the same issues.

DTP ordered but no barrel but for me yet. Couple of weeks and it will be sorted I hope

A mate of mine thats in the same shooting club is the sole importer for the UK and Europe his name is Bill Evans he only started importing then last year after a 3 months hunting trip, to i think it was New Zealand.

PS

I am so impressed with them I'm going to put in a variation so i can change the mod's on my 243 and 223 at the moment they have the third eye tactical on 243 and wildcat compact on my 223..

and another thing with them is you can get more modules to add to them i have 2 extras ones on my 308 ....
