Carman06
Right Guys, after the 17 week wait for my Coterminous grant of FAC/SGC i went and purchased my first rifle yesterday, Its a rather special piece i have had my eye on for months at the local RFD and to be honest had to convince them to sell as it wasn't for sale. But here is a quick picture with more to follow when i get chance tommorow. Its a: CZ 452 .22LR 50th Anniversary Edition with Hawke 4-16x50 IR AO Vantage scope https://www.flickr.com/photos/133106739@N05/shares/3W4a47 something kind of special to mark the start of my collection. Carman06
Cheers, really liking the gold detailing just adds that extra something for what will be the most significant purchase I will make only found one other for sale else where and it looks like it's been messed with so really was really lucky to happen across it. Quite impressed with quality and value of the new vantage scope too.

kyska
It's a nice rifle, although not being able to see it properly, you need to speak to whoever sold you those mounts.
Carman06
Ok, what's the issue with the mounts?
kyska
Ok, what's the issue with the mounts? Have you got a pic of the whole rifle? The mounts look way too high, you'd not be able to shoot very easily, the objective end of the scope wants to be pretty close to the barrel. Unless you have a huge objective, they look to high fella. Carman06
Ah I understand what your saying now. I think it's just the photos. The mounts are the ones that came pre-installed on scope.
Carman06
not sure if these are any better. looks to be about 5-7mm from barrel. https://www.flickr.com/photos/133106739@N05/shares/4DE17o
kyska
I can't see the cheek piece, as long as you don't have to lift your head to get a good image down the scope, you're good. They still look a little to high high though.
Les*1066
Nice rifle - it'll look better once the stock has got a few dents and scratches and the bluing is a bit worn in places.

Need to pick up some 10 round mags though as nice as the blinked up one that came with it is, I can't be done with a 5 shot.
moondoggy
You need a nice Bullet Pen to go with it
WelshMike
Thanks everyone will see how it goes with scope. Got a few hundred rounds to play with this weekend to find what it does or doesn't like. Need to pick up some 10 round mags though as nice as the blinked up one that came with it is, I can't be done with a 5 shot. The only issue I find with the 10 round mags is that they catch your ribs when you are carrying the rifle around, whereas the 5 round dont. The 10 round is a good choice if you are doing a bit on the targets. May just be my skinny ribs

The 10 round is a good choice if you are doing a bit on the targets. May just be my skinny ribs Although I am far from skinny and have to remind myself I have ribs(working on that issue I promise) I will only be doing target shooting. On closer inspection the magazine with the rifle is also a special edition item so don't want to wear it out too much. I do have a question for you guys about correct care and maintenance though. For eg is there a bedding in process I should follow even though it is just a .22lr and post shooting clean and lube etc. Thanks for the comments guys.
