flash
needed another rabbit for supper after my foray last wednesday, had to get the rabbit meat up to 1kg for bunny burgers tonight. so went out for a quick mooch around, after zeroing the rifle(just changed to remington yellow jack high velocity hollow point, it needed a re zero), saw two rabbits in the middle of the field, which bolted into there run as soon i saw them. so decided the best chance i had was to ambush them. so set up camp on a ridge of trees in the middle of the field i lay down and waited. took about 20 mins for the first one to apear, but was being stuborn and wouldnt move away from a huge granite boulder, so i didnt take the shot due to the danger of ricochets, so i waited another 20 mins and one of his friends hopped out, then went into a dip in the field, but his head was still visible, and the backstop was good, so i placed the crosshairs on its head and squeezed. and i saw a puff of fur and the rabbit dropped like a stone. so i made the rifle ready, mag out, bolt back to eject the un used round. and folded the bipod up and went over to collect the bag. the round had hit the rabbit between the shoulder blades(rabbit was bolt upright), and exeted with a nice big whole out of its chest. on way back to the ambush point, i paced it out to be 65yrds, which aint bad for a standard CZ511 with a basic hawk scope on it. next step is to get a silencer for it, when dad gets his variation back. cheers flash sorry for bad pic, cam on phone was playing up

flash
the land i shoot on is only around 20 acres, and when using a un silenced semi auto with high velocity ammo, not much stays around after u fire, after i got that one the whole area erupted with pigeons and roosk from the trees. plus i only needed the 1 rabbit, no point in using all the shooting up in one day, when it can bring me plenty more days of enjoying my favourite hobby. i dont see the point in clearing the whole area of rabbits in one go, when it isnt necessary. JRDS
Get a moderator and use subs, they are very effective at the ranges you shot at and make virtually no noise. The sound of you semi cycling will make more noise, you will get more oppurtunities if you need them.
