Crikey Stevo , you buy a new gun more often than I buy a slab of cartridges  looks very nice though :good:

Haha . I want to start shooting registired comps . So i need a comp clay gun . I had no intention of buying one of these . I was looking at a beretta 690 grade three comp.. But then i picked this up and the rest is history . I cant work out whats going on with beretta at the min . The workmanship on there mid ranged guns is really very poor and value for money is no more either IMO ( 2.6k and you only get three chokes and stocks that look like they have been knocked up by ikea . Come on beretta play the game we all work and save hard to buy your guns ) . This CG comes.with a proper flight case with ALL the accessories needded to fully strip the gun down . EIGHT CHOKES (take note beretta haha ) and all backed with a stadard 10 year warrenty .

I agree , the newer beretta's are just not the same quality or value for money anymore , CG must be doing something right as they are getting a popular choice .

.

I shoot very well with it ( for me ) with regards handling . Its very very simlar to the 682 gold E which is great IF you like that low action . The balance . Cast . Lenth is spot on for me . Its also very fast for a 32" .

Congratulations from another new-ish member of the CG club and 32" is the right length IMO. Hope you're as happy with it as I am with mine.

Yes they do make similar priced Berettas look a bit lame. The 690 sport would be a reasonable buy at a shop price of £1700 or so but all the dealers have them at £2325 and that's just silly. You don't have to be an expert to realise how much more gun the Summit is and how much better the care and attention to detail.

The CG is also quite a bit heavier and after 150 clays in a day your shoulder will thank you for the reduced recoil.

Couldt agree more.. I paid £2200 for mine and the 690 was about 150 more . It looked like nothing more than a silver pigeon with naff wood work . The wood to metal finish was awful and topped off with a silly price tag lol

The 690 is a facelifted Prevail I with allegedly better wood, hence my £1700 pricing assessment. My Prevail shot very well and performance wise I was happy with it, but in several ways it looked like it had been built by an apprentice with a hangover. IMO the Summit is better in every way; it costs less money and it doesn't take 2 hours to get the plastic out of the barrels.

Lovely guns are'nt they Stevo. I recently bought a Magnus sporter . The one with the engraved side plates. i was looking for a new gun when i visited the shooting show in Febuary. I had narrowed it down to either a Beretta 690 111 sport or a 725 Black. I then came across the Ceaser Guerini stand and picked up a Summit sporter. Felt lovely and build quality way way better than either the Beratta or Browning IMO. One of my clay shooting buddies has just bought a Summit Ascent and that too is a lovely gun.

I'm sure you'll enjoy owning the Guerini i know i do. Best buy i've made for a while :good:

I bought a s/h CG Essex Ltd 20bore just before Christmas... lovely gun. My head didn't quite sit in the right place and I bought it on the grounds that it would be easy enough to get the stock altered to fit. Used it on a Beaters Day and although it was ok I didn't really know where I was shooting and reverted to the old faithful Miroku 12b for the other Beaters Days I was lucky enough to be on.

The gun arrived from another dealer without it's case and had already been fitted with an extended pad by the previous owner....... a quick call to Mike Mansfield at Anglo Italian after prices for a case and an original wooden heel plate resulted in an ex-demo gun's case and a complimentary heel plate in the post......... now THAT'S what I call customer service! Top marks there!

I'd shot really well with the Miroku so after a quick chat to Mike and Alastair on the Anglo Italian stand at the Shooting Show and a subsequent call to John Wiseman who does all of AI's work, I was off to his workshop in Bridgetown, Cannock for a fitting taking the Miroku with me. Left 2 hours or so later having watched John take a bloody big rasp to the comb of the lovely walnut to get it nearly there.

Couple of weeks later I was back to collect..... lovely! Matched to the Miroku including reducing the grip, re-chequering, heel plate fitted, balance weights added, re-polished all for around £175odd!

Old School service and craftsmanship all the way from John and his staff aka family. Really impressed. :good:

And it now shoots! Or rather......I can shoot it 'cos it fits me! Can't wait 'til next season's Beaters Days.

Cheers

Fizz

i know what you mean about customer services !! I spoke to them yesterday and what a breath of fresh air , when I phoned them , the person I wanted to speak to was not there ( I thought to myself HMMM being fobbed off here ) I gave the person my name and contact number , within 20 mins the phone rang with the anglo rep on the other end with ALL the info I wanted , we then had a 5 min chat about my views on the gun and what made me go for the summit , he also said that he would send me some bits and bobs through the post , I asked for a baseball cap if there was one spare :) , so we shall see .

to say im over the moon with it don't even come close ,

I foolishly parted company with my Guerini - had a Beretta 682E Gold as well. Very similar handling guns.

Beretta wood to metal fit used to be awful 20 years ago - you could get a screwdriver in between action and stock. I thought it had improved - perhaps not.

Nice to hear of a manufacturer / importer who actually values customers. Quite rare in the gun world.

I hold customer service very highly and all this talk (and threat that the evo eclipse looks stunning) is making me think hard about spending my bonus on a CG.

Oh and did i mention about the 10 yr warrenty all the CG come with .

Is the warranty with the gun shop or the importer? I ask because I bought two Salvinelli Monacos, which were said to have the same 10 year warranty, when reviewed in the magazines. However, the importer has changed.

Idle curiosity, as I haven't had a problem at all.

Hi gordon .

Just pulled.this from there site .how does.this sound .

UNCOMPROMISING 10 YEAR TRANSFERABLE WARRANTY

Every Caesar Guerini shotgun we sell comes complete with a full 10 Year manufacturers guarantee. A guarantee that is fully transferable to each successive owner, protecting your investment and resale value without compromise.

With this peace of mind you know you have a gun that will last and also hold its resale value as the warranty is fully transferable to successive owners.

its reassuring to continue to hear so many good reviews about CG... I will be spending a rather large chunk of my bonus at the end of the year on summit with adjustable rib and comb.

I shot one at an open day a couple of months back that was held at a local shooting ground. I originally wanted the maxum, but mike suggested I try the summit and from the second I picked it up I was hooked. in my opinion, you will NOT get a better gun for the money, in fact, I would even go as far as to say that CG's offerings actually punch well above their weight and out shine a lot of guns well above their price range...

the beretta and maybe the miroku will be being sold at the beginning of 2016.
