a few for the pot

went out to a perm I had not shot for a few weeks as the last time I was there rabbits were appearing everywhere, the farmer would not be happy,

anyway only went for a short walkabout with the Airwolf MCT .177,

on arriving I must of spooked at least 20 rabbits so decided to just slowly walk round,

the first rabbit fell at 45yrds , the second at 20 yrds and the last rabbit was taken at approx. 35yrds, all where taken with standing shots and have to say its been a while doing this type of shooting so really enjoyed it,

well I,ll be back up this week to take a few more for the pot and the dog, they are in fantastic condition and are going mad for the freshly cut grass,

here is a pick of the Wolf with the three

Considering the weight of your rifle that 45 yard standing shot was some achievement :)

it certainly was,, have you not seen the size of my arms :lol:

all three where taken with standing shots and it was nice to get out for a walk, I,m going to take the huntsman classic this week and put that through its paces as I,ve not taken it out for a while,so it will be a bit more challenging with it being .22

talking of 45yrd standing shots that is certainly not as hard as it seems with a pcp,, Mr Pittaway took a rabbit out at over 55yrds and with a springer also, now that is an achievement

atb Evo :good:

well done Evo, keep up the good work.

I tend to do most of my shooting off of a bi pod, but occasionally shoot off hand if the situation calls for it, I tend to leave more than I take when standing as find it hard to keep on target, I probably think too much about the shot and wait too long and then go all wobbly, maybe I should be less hesitant.

once again well done

I think you make a good point mate about not being as hesitant before pulling the trigger. The longer the rifle is up there the heavier it gets.
