So, a while ago i noticed a gap between the top of the door seal and the underside of the roof, i took them off and looked at them and pretty much just put them back hoping for miracle :lol::lol: obviously didnt happen and there were still a gap :no:

pumps been messed about with but still smoking, but not as bad so hopefully the rest is down to rings bedding them selfs in, will have to take it on an outing in a week or to so sort it out,

and as iv been hung over all day, my only job was to make tea and put the radiator grill on...............done :good::good:

This really does look good-like better than when they rolled off the production line.

if it starts well.......then your timing is not far out.................do a few miles in it and all of a sudden the smoke will disapear as the rings cut their own bed........dont worry about it

I couldn't think of owt worse than messing with a old landrover and hungover !!!!!!!!

I'll really miss this thread when she is completed.Unless of course another restoration should come your way.

and i did do something else but i couldnt be bothered to explain it :lol::lol: and i still carnt, so i will photo it tomorrow, as iv been left with a list of jobs to do for after work, rear door check strap, all the wing stays to go on, got to pump some oil into the axles, tidy up, locate oll the new door cards and check they fit, my mate must think iv nothing better to do :lol::lol::lol:

couple of spare hours after work so a few more odd jobs done, the list is never ending, but were getting there :good::good:

 

rear door check strap on.

and whatever this other thing is called, didnt fit rite so had to make some spacers to get it in line,
