viking
think i read somewhere once that the 109 was 750 x 16 and the 88" were 600 x 16, but i could well be wrong
viking
whoever suggested i buy a parts catalogue well done that man think they both had the same wheel rims.............. if you are using "original wheel rims" they will be for tubed tyres....so then you will have to get tyres for tubes...you cant mix them....have a word with "greavsie"................ i will be buying mew wheels and tyres but all the original sizes, and i kept the inertubes
four-wheel-drive
Do they still make inertubes I thought that they stopped making them years ago.

ditchman
Think I saw some at paddocks. The law states (i believe) you can only use inner tubes with tyres designed to take inner tubes......the inside of a tyre for an innertube is ribbed ...to stop the innertube slipping or moving...................... other lads on here who are tyre fitters will give you the proper low down..... Fuji Shooter
Oh man wood in a Landy - how gay is that, perhaps some nice lace curtains for the rear windows and a few scatter cushions too. I think your next project should be a Morris Traveller mate.
ditchman
right.................my 2d worth..........when you are making up/ covering wood backing for the sills in the county..........wait for it... DONT USE CHEAP GLUE OR CHEAP SPRAY ON ADHESIVE.............. use good quality expensive stuff...............been there seen done it failed.............2 reasons....the landrover will heat up during the hot summer and the glue will soften and where you have pulled the material into position...it will part company....and the 2nd reason is cheaper glues evapourate after time (contact stuff) and fail....so use good stuff or better still 2 pack.............the material you buy to cover these sills should have some stretch in it to allow you to get rid of creases.....you said one of your family is good at this sort of thing ...he/she will know...........i learnt from bitter experience........... Mike737
question. im looking for some Axle swivel to case bolt.iv found them in the parts catalogue but it says 10 bolts and 12 nuts, obviously thats for both sides, but why only 10 bolts when there are 6 a side. or have i got it wrong somewhere If someone's answered this already, then sorry, but I think you need ten of one size bolt, and two of the other, (listed under the ten), totalling twelve. fruitloop
cheers mike, we got there in the end because there is 6 bolts per side .if you look at the parts drawing there is a bolt with another part on it on the other side of the swivel part number 576521 and 576522 Edited June 4, 2016 by fruitloop
viking
well once again today did not go to plan due to being let down again by greevsie, so i just got all my rear window trims out and had a good look at them, now im in 2 minds weather to attempt the job or not, some of the hardboard bits dont look to bad to do as its just a case of cutting the hardboard to size, there is no foam on these bits as there just to cover the strip where the seat belt attaches to the side and then the other bits are for the other side near the rear quarter windows, . . viking
but the top pieces are a metal backing and there is a good amount of rust on them,so on one as a test i wire wheeled most of the paint and glue on the side where to foam goes, and the other side i did the same and iv painted it, as it wont be seen anyway, so i think what i will do is do the hardboard bits myself and sent the 4 bits 2 rear 2 fronts off to be done properly with the roof lining, . . . . viking
then there is the front but that holds the lining up and where the sun visors attach to, that is shot, will have to get a piece made up for that, but looking at it, it shouldnt be to hard, (he says) . . .
