Rabbiting without ferrets

I would say no, because you need the ferret/s to go underground and flush the rabbits into the nets. You could use a 'smoker' though, I suppose, but ferrets are the best option.

Just dont fancy taking a shovel out with me to dig them out lol

A friend of mine aske me to deblade an old chain saw , we altered the mixture to make it smoke and fitted a steel and rubber pipe on the exhaust . He had rats under a three car garage on some land he owned and with his dog we smoked the rats out and then put broken glass down the holes and filled them in.

I considered using the same set up for rabbits with purse and long nets but was told by a farmer that they had tried it and the the rabbits did not bolt, maybe due to the noise of the engine.

Put a brick down with the hollow uppermost at the entrance to the Warren. Put some Lettuce in the hollow of the brick and sprinkle it with Pepper.

 

When the Rabbit goes to get the Lettuce it will sneeze and smash its head on the brick.

 

You can then just walk round and pick up the dead Rabbits.

I use long nets and don't own any ferrets at the moment. A different game but still catching rabbits in nets.

Isnt rabbiting without ferrets best with a gun? this makes it shooting, means you dont need a net either.
