shoot and be safe
In the news this morning, the ref of the Scotland game made the wrong decision awarding the penalty in the dieing moments of the game, according to his bosses. Apparently it should have been a scrum instead of the penalty. Sad for Scotland as the outcome would have probably been a lot different. dougall
I was at Twickenham for this game and it was a cracker.Whilst I have never been a fan of Joubert, mainly due to RWC final 2011....these calls were all fine detail decisions and I cannot stand the ref being blamed..This talk of bottles etc is rubbish there was 1 plastic bottle I recall and I would guess it missed him by 50 yards...!Over the 80 minutes Scotland were awesome in effort but were not the better team, but boy did their efforts deserve to take it on the day....There was booing for the last penalty both decision and during the penalty kick but it was more banter than vitriol..the biggest boo on the day was when Queen Nicola Sturgeon was shown on the big screen sitting in the royal box...now that was someone no one ever wants in charge of anything ever again!!! For the record the stadium was massively behind the Scots and a lot were English...imagine it was England v Australia @ Hampden...would have been quite a different story..at the 78th minute lineout, with rain lashing down why oh why did they throw it long....that was the fatal decision...a tough loss but a great game. We will get behind Scotland/Wales/Ireland in the Euro's footsie wise.... Oh hold on, Scotland didn't qualify (just a bit of banter like England got when we didn't get out of the group stages) 2nd point, England made a similar error of judgment against Wales, we had a point in the bag but blew it going for the win..... After believing the All Blacks now have it in the bag, a small wager on the Argies would be a clever bet

welshwarrior
I've not watched all the games but personal Joubert is out of his depth as an International referee. But there are only 2 teams playing top rugby New Zealand and Australia IMHO however I'd never discount the Boks causing and upset the Pumas have nothing to loose this makes them very dangerous so we wait and see, a bit like the England vs Wales 2xv game Edited October 20, 2015 by welshwarrior
