phil123
Has anybody used the basc discount off Land Rover? I have just ordered a new Range Rover evoque and seen that basc do a discount jobby on them so was wondering if anybody has used this and if so how much was the saving? WinchesterDave
I'm not sure but I believe it varies between Manufacturer. I'm sure I saw a guy on here who saved 17% on a new hilux, not 100% though
littlerob
In the basc mag this year there was a article where a guy saved 18% on a new Ford ranger
phil123
Yeah Ive heard about good savings on Mitsubishi's and Toyotas. Trying to get any discount from Land Rover was near impossible though so any little helps!
Duckandswing
I had 15% off an Isuzu Yukon.
Kalahari
Phone the BASC and ask. You have to be a member for more than a year to benefit. Also if you have placed your order you might be a bit late. David.
norfolk dumpling
It's on BASC web site. I think you need a code or password - to confirm length of membership etc - and then you phone manufacturers for discount/deals. A shooting friend got a very good discount on a Volvo but I gather deals vary according to the state of the market, availability and locality. Now might be a good time after the '65' peak. Keep us posted on progress as we are looking for a new motor later this year. VW might be a good bet now and despite Press they are very well put together. walshie
I just bought a Hilux today. 17% off. All they needed was my BASC number. Edited October 13, 2015 by walshie
phil123
I phoned the dealership that looks after it and was 3% off the price before vat! Not quite the 15 - 20% I hoped for. The deal didn't include any deposit contribution so I'm better off sticking with what I've already ordered. Good old Land Rover!
Alycidon
Speaking to a Toyota dealer yesterday about a Hi Lux, he said almost the VAT value, so 17% as posted already seems about right. A
Marki
Kinda off topic, just a bit, but the world market for cars has hit a real bad patch for a lot of manufacturers. It'll be interesting to see how much discount can be negotiated across different brands in the run up to the new year.
