johnnytheboy
Has anyone seen this gun in the flesh, does it feel well balanced or is it just a fence post like the A400 Xtrema!
browning123
I have a A400 Xplor Light with a 26" barrel - I love the gun, light, very little recoil, excellent balance and cycles any cartridge.
johnnytheboy
I'm looking at the new one that looks like the Xtrema but 3" chamber, how do you think yours would feel with 28" barrel?
browning123
I've seen the new model advertised - I don't believe the 2" barrel difference would affect the balance, but I find the shorter barrel idea in the pigeon hide.
Redditch
I bought one when they first came out, fantastic gun, and still use it every day. Mines a 28" barrel Edited October 13, 2015 by Redditch
clanchief
I bought one when they first came out, fantastic gun, and still use it every day. Mines a 28" barrel Nearly ditto, I love mine, would love the kick off version, brilliant in every way,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,and like them so much I am picking up a new Xtreme Optidade tomorrow also, and trading in a brand new virtually unused Silver Pigeon 1 which I paid extra to have an adjustable comb fitted in against it, two new A400 Berettas in the one year,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,brilliant. Whitebridges
There seems to be allsorts of variations. I recently bought one of these : http://www.thecountryman.com/beretta-a400-lite-28-semi-auto I needed something for wet weather. It's synthethic, 28in, 3ins. Comes with three chokes, I use 1/2 in mine. Ran it in using 34g Gamebore Pigeon Extreme no 5 and killed some cracking birds with it. It's got the Beretta latest shot counter thing in it called GunPod2. You are supposed to sinc it with an app on your phone. Utter pants! Just does not work. The software must have been written by coco the clown as even the login reads. "or sing-Up as new user". Definitely Italian. As for the gun. I like it a lot. officerdibble777
I shot one in the u.s. When they were just released,I liked it so much I bought one on a trip back home. 28 inch barrel and kick-off,only down side is the lack of chokes from Beretta.imo it should have 4. I've shot sporting trap and skeet with it and love it
silverfox2007
I bought an A400 Xplor LH around 2 months ago and have had to send it back to GMK for inspection as the slot where the cocking lever slides back in has somehow damaged the finish on the receiver, only fired 500 odd shells through it so I am a little bit upset about this being a quality make, maybe it has a floor in it anyone else heard of anything like this? Cosd
I find the "fence post" well balanced!!
a303
Did once hear about that problem on a a400 excel. Every once in a while a lemon will get through.
silverfox2007
Shooting clays with a guy today who has the RH version and had it two years, not a mark on it, maybe I was just unlucky, hoping they will rectify it or send me a new one. a303
Rattled a number of carts through a a400 xtreme today. Lovely build quality, Very soft on the shoulder, Very fast cycling, Felt well balanced. No problems at all on 28gram loads Much much nicer to shoot than a Benelli M2 regarding recoil. Very very very soft. Overall it is a nice evolution of the 391 platforms, felt faster cycling in that there wasn't any sensation of the bolt coming back and then forward like on the 391's It was just bang bang bang with no mechanical sensations. Corking piece of kit. If the other A400 models are similar then they are cracking pieces of kit.
silverfox2007
Pleased to say GMK will be replacing my A400 with a new one, heard from my gunshop last week. Well done GMK.
