Fuj
Hi I purchased a .22lr a few months ago via telephone which was then transferred to a gunsmith local to me. The gun has now developed a fault. I have contacted the seller on a few occasions who keeps trying to fob me off but today he has told me to send the gun to him via Parcelforce to which I asked him 'should I not send via RFD?' And his answer was 'No' Has anyone ever sent a firearm in this way? Thanks
Scully
You have to send it RFD to RFD, just as you did when buying it.
welshwarrior
You have to send it RFD to RFD, just as you did when buying it. No you don't you can post a gun to an RFD at any point using an approved courier ie parcelforce the RFD can also return it to you directly if you own the gun (list on you SGC FAC). You can not post it to an other private individual at anytime. Edited October 29, 2015 by welshwarrior
jam1e
You have to send it RFD to RFD, just as you did when buying it. I was just involved in a transfer, and was told RFD to RFD, and the RFD sender must have a copy of the receiving RFD's dealer certificate. Otherwise, an RFD could be posting it to anyone... Scully
There you go OP; I stand corrected. I made the mistaken assumption the seller was a private individual. My apologies.

How exactly is he going to hold it without being in illegal posession?
