Dougy
You cat beat the height advantage while after fox's so I headed for some silage bales, they were also nice and warm . I thought I would have a lazy few hours so decided to put the caller out in the field, get up on the bales and chill out. I started off with the Tenterfield call for about 10 -15 minutes then paused for a coffee break for 5 minutes, Nothing showed, well nothing but a little rain, and the wind picking up. Started again with the same call, then spotted a Fox sneaking around a pond over the road around 300yards, I paused the caller and watched the reaction, nothing, I then played again, this time with a little more volume, It didn't like that, it started to run in the opposite direction, so I paused it again, but lost sight of the Fox. No sign of that dam I had fluffed it. Another coffee break was called for while I thought about the next plan, Fox mating call it that time of the year, see if I can get it back. It could not resist the chance of a leg over, as we all know sometimes it just does not end how we expect it to end

Dougy
It got a good bang:-/ Nice one. How close? Dam you little so and so closer than normal. I didn't measure this one but I guessed around 120yds so my average is getting less, mind you one good long shot will get it back to normal. Just wait till the snow settles that will bump up the average, specially if I get the 260 out Take care UD I like your last post
Dougy
Never ending supply down your way Dougy... Plenty around though, you wont shoot them while watching "strictly" I am out most nights if the weather permits. When Im too old to get out I will only wish I had done more shooting so I make the most of it, Like when you started with the girls
FOXHUNTER1
I used to be out most nights too in my twenties and thirties but cant manage it now. Plus the fox numbers up here don't warrant it.
