Whitebridges
Questions have today been asked about whether the Care Quality Commission (CQC) represented value for money after it emerged teams visiting East Anglia during a nine-month period spent a total of £123,599 on accommodation, including five-night stays at four-star hotels. More here: http://www.edp24.co.uk/news/health/nhs_inspectors_spend_46_000_on_dunston_hall_hotel_bill_while_probing_norfolk_and_suffolk_mental_health_trust_1_4409310 If it was anything to do with me i'd put "333 inspection team members" back in to the hospitals doing some proper work with patients ! Has the world gone completely mad? Edited February 8, 2016 by Whitebridges
Vince Green
Lets face it, the NHS probably spends more than that in a week on lightbulbs.

7daysinaweek
daily spend for nhs for 2015 was 400 million per day. since 2013 all services within the nhs can now be put out to private tender. if only the public knew the extent of the money squandered on stupid services that never amount to any benefit to the patient or efficieny measures. the nhs is a huge pot of money and more and more leaches position themselves in between the patient and front line staff charges massive amounts. Lloyd90
Ofsted the same, girl who's in my flat does a week away a year and they get about £5-600 A DAY inspecting colleges etc. On top of that their accommodation is paid and as they're away from home meals etc are all claim back too. Not a bad little number if you know the bloke who picks the team (aka mates of her dad)!

Fabulous post ! The NHS is seen as a cash cow for third party service providers most of whom used to worked for the state. Rape and pillage spring to mind. Isn't it interesting that Cameron has decided to clean up our prisons? Way easier than the NHS. Tory boy easy optionist. Feasting like hogs in a trough, just the upside of competition in the market place? Competing to see who can rip the most money out before it goes bump? Competing to see who can rip the most money out before it goes bump? yes some of them piggies are more than eager to feed out of the trough, but to the end user (the patient) they do not provide the meat!
