rimfire4969
Like mine, upgrade the standard uv lamp for a lot better performance, also have a look on Facebook x-sight group on there with some great advice.

Mini Magnum
Personally if you want a night vision scope I'd avoid. If you want a digital day scope there pretty good but low optical mag.

I think the performance at night is more than adequate for the distances I shoot at. I haven't used high end kit like archers etc to compare with it but I think they're good value for money. Seem to be marmite with most shooters
jimmyb79
The X-Sight 2 will be out very shortly with a number of improvements over the original. Be worth hanging on for a bit I'd say unless you're looking second hand.
Archie-fox
I used a X-sight on Saturday night, as soon as it got a little misty it was really poor.. Still managed 3 foxes tho.. Had to use the lamp to spot the foxes then finished them off with the night vision
nderfel
i was about to post amd ask about the same thing, was tempted by one for my 17 hmr. I want to try one if I can before I buy, its a lot of money on spec for something the x-site 2 has a memory zero profile setting so you can transfer it between rifles which might be useful.. jimmyb79
I have been fortunate enough to have a night out with the new X-Sight 2 this evening. As a previous owner of the original X-Sight, I have to say, I'm impressed with this updated version. I found the daytime image was as good as its ever been but the night time image is vastly improved. I was using the new Tracer F900 as an IR illuminator and the picture was very clear.
