BangBangNik
Any one here do it? I need to loose some timber and going the gym/out on my bike isn't doing it for me at the moment so though I'd have a go at crossfit. I like the idea of a high intensity full body workout. A few years ago I shed 7 stone in under a year hitting the gym and mountain bike hard, I then got married and put it all back on!! Crossfit always seemed a bit cult like and it is certainly a massive money making franchise but thought what the hell. Just had my first one 2 one today and I'm broken! I'm in real pain......it's going to be a long night shift tonight, but I really enjoyed it so will certainly be going back.
m3vert
It can be good fun. But as usual there are some who take it too serious and can spoil it for others, well that is what happened when I done with the lads from work!! I must admit though I did enjoy the high intensity of the workout, but you are right you can feel wrecked afterwards!!!
Pistol p
I done for about three years to shape up and lose a bit of weight. It took a while to get into the regime but once I started to feel the benefits it became a bit addictive. I haven't been for a while but am tempted to go again, it's better if there's a good group to join.
Lloyd90
The cult issue is the worst, have you ever had a chat to a cross fitter ? The elitist attitude made me genuinely feel sick! In the end I told this girl she sounded like a big headed **** and I was off (we were having drinks) lol! The majority of people I've met really did have a better than you attitude ! BangBangNik
with all activities, there are people who take it to the extreme. Some friends of ours are heavily into it........not in a holier than thou way but it has become a lifestyle for them. It's become a bit of a running joke in our house. Everyone I met today seemed alright but I'm sure I'll find some knobs though.

I have to agree with you 100% there Lloyd90, some I know think their fitness is so superior to anyone who does not do crossfit, clearly way fitter than me but that's nowt to boast about. But I do think they all reckon they are Rich Fronning lol

Royboy
My girlfriends friend owns a Crossfit gym and it's always busy, this girl is mad keen on it though, when she goes on holiday she has to visit a Crossfit gym every morning ! Doesn't sound much of a holiday to me !

To the point that for many it's dangerous. Anyone who claims "their" sport or activity is far superior to any other is a bellend. You have to appreciate each individual skills or activity on its own merit! Cross fit itself (if done right) is a very good activity for fitness and conditioning! I agree, when I went through a phase of weight lifting I was always taut not to lock my arms or legs out, What I've seen of Crossfit they always lock out Edited March 8, 2016 by Royboy
old'un
Would cutting down on your food intake not help?
Lloyd90
Would cutting down on your food intake not help? It's the biggest thing that could help anyone lose weight, it's far easier to eat 500kcals less a day than to do 500kcals worth of exercise. If you can do both that's a great bonus and also adds cardio health etc
BangBangNik
Would cutting down on your food intake not help? I've no doubt it would but it's not all about weight loss......I want to get my fitness levels back up.
rovercoupe
The first rule of crossfit is, never shut up about crossfit. If you want somthing different take up rock climbing.
